<itunes:subtitle>Benjamin takes a closer look at the 2025 Ford Mustang GT Convertible, and doesn't skimp on a single detail (especially not the spread of pricing in the Ford lineup.) Then Sami brings up BMW and how the brand used to seem very conservative, but not anymore! Thanks for listening to the Unnamed Automotive Podcast!</itunes:subtitle>

The Unnamed Automotive Podcast jumps right into summer with a fun review of the 2025 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. A droptop with a V8? You got it! Benjamin details the ins and outs of this nearly-500-hp machine, and Sami questions him on the progress that Ford has made with its pony car over the past few decades.

Then Sami recaps his thoughts on the 2025 BMW X3 M50, which boasts tons of power and a funky approach to interior design. It has Sami rethinking his entire thought process revolving the German automaker, and the hosts talk more about what that means. Then the guys give a short primer for what to expect in the next few episodes. Thanks for listening!

<itunes:subtitle>This week the Unnamed Automotive Podcast reviews the 2024 GMC 2500 HD AT4X, and finds that some of its off-road design impacts its ability to be a successful heavy-duty truck.

There's plenty of truck talk this week on the Unnamed Automotive Podcast, along with an important story about racing. But first the show starts with Benjamin's review of the 2024 GMC 2500 HD AT4X, which boasts plenty of hauling, towing and off-roading capabilities that all seem to be at odds with one another. Our host tested the truck out, towing his car to the track, but found that the off-road oriented design definitely impacted its usability as a truck. That's just one aspect of this weeks review, but wait till you hear about its engine - and how Benjamin found an easy work-around when it came to trailer parking.

Then we get an update about Benjamin's experience at Watkins Glen International Racetrack, and how he handled the fast and exciting track in his Datsun, and his Dad's Mustang! Thanks for listening!

Although the R may share its basic shape with the street-oriented GT and GT S editions of the coupe, mechanically this most belligerent member of the AMG family is as different from the base car as a straight razor is from a Schick. Despite his willingness to demonstrate how I can dial in as much or as little traction control as I may desire using the dash-mounted knob, Renger helpfully suggests that, of the GT R's four drive modes, I stick with "Sport+" and avoid "Race" until I've had at least a few laps at speed under my belt.

"You know, because, well, this is a lot of car," he says, looking me directly in the eye. A pause, and then he repeats this for a second time. "A lot of car."
