<itunes:subtitle>Benjamin reviews the 2026 Hyundai Elantra N Line, which has an upgraded powetrain and suspension system, though might fall short of being an enthusiast-friendly sport compact. Then Sami talks about the 2026 Volkswagen Atlas, which is spacious and comfortable, though features an annoying to use infotainment system. Finally the show ends with the discussion of Honda's cancelled EVs, and explaining what that means for the automotive industry.</itunes:subtitle>

<description>Benjamin's takes on the 2026 Hyundai Elantra N Line, a car inspired by the sport compacts of yore. The N Line features an upgraded engine and a sportier suspension system, but is it really an enthusiast oriented model, or just an excuse to hike up the price for Hyundai's compact car?
Then Sami reviews the 2026 Volkswagen Atlas. After testing so many three-row crossovers lately, Sami turns his attention to the German family-friendly ride, which has been thoroughly refreshed in recent years. However, one glaring red flag spoils Sami's recommendation of the Atlas; can you guess what it is?
Finally, the show shares some important and interesting news about Honda's deep-in-development EVs, which are now cancelled. Sami and Benjamin discuss what this means for the EV market in the US and the automotive industry as a whole. Thanks for listening!

<itunes:subtitle>Its the first show of 2026, and it starts with a quick review of the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid and the 2026 Toyota Camry. Our hosts first talk about the Honda, and how the big H has approached different fuel sources and powertrains over the years. Then the discussion switches to the Camry which Benjamin thoroughly tests through the winter. Finally the guys quickly chat about the best and worst cars they drove this year. Thank you for listening, we can't wait to tell you more great car stories this year!</itunes:subtitle>

<description>It is the first podcast of 2026 and we're so thankful to be starting the year right with our loyal listeners. Thanks so much for making 2025 (and every year!) so great. Todays episode starts with a discussion of the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid, and the Japanese automaker's overall powertrain strategy. Listen as the guys talk natural gas, hydrogen, PHEV and more and where the CR-V sits among all those choices. Where will Honda go next? Maybe synthetic fuel like Porsche, or Soylent Green?
Then Benjamin chimes in with his winter-weather review of the 2026 Toyota Camry. Available with all-wheel-drive and a hybrid powertrain, the Camry is a mainstay of Toyotas lineup, but has it recieved less attention from the automaker with each passing generation?
Finally the show ends with a quick discussion of our hosts favourite and least favourite cars they've driven this year. Thanks for listening and have a great start to your year!

<itunes:subtitle>This week, the Unnamed Automotive Podcast discusses a pair of minivans, (almost half the segment in one episode!) Sami starts things off with a review of the 2026 Chrysler Pacifica AWD which has cool seats and a nice engine, but a few small concerns stop him short from outright recommending it. Then Benjamin chimes in with his review of the 2026 Honda Odyssey, which lacks AWD and cool seats, but has a few traits that saw Benjamin struggling to return this Japanese three-row. Finally Benjamin shares a fun/scary story of a media event where safety came second (or maybe third) on the priority list. Thanks for listening!</itunes:subtitle>

<description>The show starts off with Sami's review of the 2026 Chrysler Pacifica AWD, which boasts a peachy engine and cool seats that can hide away for more storage as needed, but Sami points out there are more than a few concerns with the American company's minivan, and it may be starting to feel a bit old these days.
Then Benjamin reviews the 2026 Honda Odyssey, which he pilots through a pair of hefty snowstorms. Though it lacks the all-wheel-drive and versatile seats of the Pacifica, he has more than few reasons to recommend this mighty minivan.
Finally, Benjamin regales us with a tale of a near-death experience that he almost forgot about until reminded by Sami and a Facebook memory. Thanks for listening!!

<itunes:subtitle>The Unnamed Automotive Podcast is back on track with a pair of thorough reviews, starting with Benjamin's take on the 2025 Audi SQ6 e-tron. This electric crossover takes on the likes of the Genesis GV70 and BMW iX, but comes up short in one key way. Then Sami shares his thoughts on the 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport, which may not be the most capable, but certainly looks tough. Then the guys discuss a Miata-focused question from a listener.</itunes:subtitle>

<description>The show starts with Benjamin's review of the 2025 Audi SQ6 e-tron, a performance minded electric crossover which seems to nail so many thing, but falls short of its rivals in one key area; can you guess where? Benjamin's review of the EV expands to a wider discussion of its rivals that you don't want to miss.
Then Sami shares his thoughts on the 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport, a rugged looking SUV with the same bones as the Pilot, but with fewer seats. While it looks tough and offers a few handy features that are useful off-road, Sami claims this isn't a true all-terrain SUV comparable to the likes of the Wrangler, 4Runner, Bronco and others. Then the guys wonder what's in the water at all the automaker HQs that make them so off-road-trim happy.
The show finishes up by tackling a tough, Miata-minded question from a listener. Thanks for listening!

<description>This week the Unnamed Automotive Podcast is so revved up it's putting Benjamin to sleep! Even while Benjamin does tons of PR for his upcoming book (www.modeluncomic.com) he has time to review a car for us. He jumps into the pilots seat of the 2025 BMW M2, which has been totally redesigned on a new platform and feels very close to its M3/M4 cousins. While boasting plenty of power, and a manual gearbox, Benjamin wonders if there's something missing in the M2's typically exciting sauce.
Then Sami climbs into the 2026 Honda CR-V TrailSport Hybrid, and comes away unimpressed. Yet another off-roading cosplaying trim arrives on the street with minimal real upgrades to capability and it sends out hosts into disassociation mode. What does Honda think its doing? Listen to find out!

<description>This week, the Unnamed Automotive Podcast jams out with some subcompact crossovers. The show starts with Sami's review of the 2025 Hyundai Kona Electric, a perfectly fine EV that is a bit overshadowed by its market. With the competition offering better value, Sami and Benjamin argue that a used Hyundai Kona Electric is the smart choice for EV shoppers on a tight budget.
Then the guys turn their focus to the 2026 Honda HR-V. Using Sami's previous experience as background information on his tester, Benjamin starts off thinking the Honda subcompact is pretty solid, but after spending more time with it, he wonders if there's a worse choice in the segment. Thanks for listening!

<itunes:subtitle>This weeks episode stays immediately flies off the seat rails, but the guys reel it back to provide a pair of fun reviews. Sami starts the show off with his take on the 2025 Honda Odyssey, a minivan that lacks the hybrid or all-wheel-drive flair of its rivals, but still feels plenty family friendly. Then Benjamin takes the 2025 Cadillac CT5 out for a spin, urging luxury car buyers to give it a look before signing a crippling contract with a European or Japanese brand. Finally the show discusses the new, affordable and customizable Slate EV pickup.</itunes:subtitle>

<description>Why isn't a minivan considered a "long roof"? Why don't we name all cars based on their roofs? What's the right plural of roof? These questions and more are answered this week on the Unnamed Automotive Podcast! The show starts off with a review of the 2025 Honda Odyssey minivan, as Sami wonders why this Japanese van lacks the fun features many of its rivals have (and explains where the HondaVac went to.) But he comes across loving its single-minded approach to family transportation. What's holding the Odyssey, and other minivans, from getting widepsread appreciation? The guys give you the definitive answer.
Then Benjamn shares his thoughts on the 2025 Cadillac CT5 - the entry-level model to boot! A tweener sedan with a high-tech cabin, the CT5 is likely missing on many buyers short-lists, but Ben says it may have earned a spot among those checking out smaller and less featured European options.
Finally, our guys talk about the new Slate EV, a bare-bones $25,000 EV pickup a ton of customizability. Is this what people want? Let us know through our contact form or reach out to us on social media!

<itunes:subtitle>Small crossovers dominate this week's episode in different ways. First up Benjamin reviews the 2025 Mini Cooper Countryman SE All4, an all electric, AWD compact, with plenty of range and equipment. <description>The show starts off with Benjamin's review of the 2025 Mini Cooper Countryman SE All4, an all wheel drive, electric 'ute that manages to stay small, affordable and impressive to drive. What's the downside? Try the weird user interface and get back to us; or don't and listen to Benjamins gripes of the infotainment system, and his overall take on this Mini EV.
Then Sami tries his hardest to not talk about the 2025 Honda HR-V, by first discussing the history of the Fit subcompact, and the era of Honda when it wasn't afraid of doing things it's own way. The new HR-V is lacking any personality, while being worse than many of its rivals in key specs like fuel economy and pricing. Sami asks what's the point?
The guys finish up by discussing lease-friendly EVs to answer a listener question.

But Sami's recent experience with the Camry, Accord and other midsize sedans makes this Crown feel a bit less special. Then Benjamin checks out the 2025 Honda Pilot TrailSport, a three-row crossover that Sami has driven plenty of times. <description>The Unnamed Automotive Podcast gets some second opinions this week. Today's show starts with Sami's review of the 2025 Toyota Crown, a car than Benjamin drove a few years ago. However, Sami's experience with the Crown has been changed by recent tests of the Camry and Accord, both of which were spacious, well equipped, efficient and responsive. Does the more expensive Crown have anything to offer that they don't?
Then Benjamin finally gets his chance to drive the 2025 Honda Pilot TrailSport. A three-row crossover with some off-roading capabilities, the Pilot feels like it should be more interesting to drive and live with than other three-rows like the Highlander, Telluride and Palisade, but Benjamin points out that there are a few things that stop it from being a standout.
Finally, the show closes up on checkup on Fisker, and an interesting law that means that Chase is sending Fisker Ocean buyers to Rivian dealerships. Thanks for listening!

After a brief conversation describing the type of friendship they possess and cherish, Sami and Benjamin dive right into the world of Honda Hybrids. Sami starts the episode off with the 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring, a responsive, efficient and well equipped sedan that is easy to like, if it weren't for one pesky little issue: the price.
Then Benjamin brightens up the discussion by bringing up the 2025 Honda Civic Sedan Hybrid, which uses much of the same running gear, but somehow whiffed on its infotainment system. Benjamin investigates as to whether he's the problem here, or if Honda has a wider software issue to resolve. Thanks for listening!

<description>The show starts with Benjamin's review of the 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe, which features a sleeker profile, and a new powertrain with an electric supercharger. How does these changes affect the typically well recieved GV80 crossover? Benjamin spills all the details, while going on quick tangents about wireless charging and digital gauge clusters.
Then Sami finds a solution for families on the go with a tight budget. While many may seek out something like the 2025 Honda Pilot, the new Hyundai Santa Fe may be everything families are looking for, especially in the affordable hybrid guise. Sporting 231 horsepower and 36 mpg combined, the Santa Fe feels like a better crossover than its price tag indicates. So whats the catch?

<description>The discussion this week opens with the 2025 Mini Cooper S, a formerly subcompact car that's grown up a bit, but still has a way to broadcast its cute charm. Benjamin has plenty to say about its design, but there are a few important issues he brings up about its user experience. Does that all get in the way of how it drives?
Then Sami chimes in with a review of TWO Honda Civics. First up is the manual-only 2025 Civic Si, which gets a few mild updates this year to ensure no one forgets about this sport-compact staple. Sami has a lot to say about whether the Si is still worth talking about these days, and if it's gone too far from the usual gameplan of being a cheap fun car. Then he discusses the 2025 Civic Hatchback Hybrid, which has plenty of torque along with incredibly low fuel consumption, making it a jack of all trades. But it does carry a steep price tag in some regions, which turns him off entirely.

<description>This week the 2024 Honda Prologue, a vehicle the show has barely mentioned, gets the full review from Sami, as he dissects what this "Honda by GM" is capable of, and whether it's relevant or not in this market. Plus he details what parts are GM and what parts are actually Honda.
Then Benjamin shares his thoughts on the recently refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4, a luxury compact crossover with an eye catching price tag. But Benjamin notes that his tester had a few issues that may have soured his entire experience.
The guys wrap up with Toyota and how many cars they sell compared to how many are actually good. They also mention the brands dipping reliability scores, and whether Toyota is cashing in on the reputation they built over the years. It's an enlightening conversation that gets into the heads of our hosts, so don't miss it! Thanks for listening.

<description>Today's show starts with Benjamin's review of the 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric, an EV that could stand on its own in a vaccuum, but runs up against a few issues when you consider the rest of the EV world. Benjamin wonders if its worth it to spring for a homegrown rival electric vehicle for just a few thousand dollars more.
Then Sami continues his three-row review extravaganza with his take on the 2024 Honda Pilot TrailSport. Having undergone a thorough redesign last year, is the new Pilot a solid choice in this segment? What are its strengths and weaknesses in one of the most competitive arenas in this industry? Sami reveals his thoughts on these concerns and more!
Then the guys answer a unique listener question, involving two totally different cars, but with similar family-friendly goals. Thanks for listening!

<description>Don't say the guys at the helm of the Unnamed Automotive Podcast don't give you their all, as Benjamin records right through a storm to give you some fresh new content. First up Benjamin talks about the refreshed 2023 BMW M340i. The Bavarian automaker has a new strategy in mind for its future cars, and this 3 Series sees some interesting changes, especially in the cabin. As Benjamin goes on a long road trip, he experiences the highs and lows of the entry level sport sedan and bares all for you to hear about.
Then Sami chimes in about how he's been moving and going through the process with two distinctly different trucks. First he says some things about the 2033 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition, and then compares those thoughts to the 2023 Toyota Tundra SR5. Hear how these rides helped and hindered his move.
Then Ben had a chance encounter with the owner of the only (known) Brazilian Dodge Charger in North America. Hear what makes this such a cool find and how it came to find a home right outside of Montreal. Thanks for listening and chime in next week!

<description>Hybrid crossovers seem to be everywhere, including the 2023 Honda CR-V lineup. While the gas-powered CR-V had some awful fuel consumption in our last test drive, we have some important notes about the new hybrid model.
Additionally, Sami brought out the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid for much needed context. His tester was the charming Woodlands edition, with a tree-themed cabin and campy features. Hear how the Toyota fares on the market after many years on the market, and if its still a leader.

<description>Did you know: electrons are powering the latest cars tested on the Unnamed Automotive Podcast, and also everything around you? We're slowly coming to terms with that as Benjamin and Sami try out some new EVs and hybrid vehicles. First up on the show, (beyond the food tangent that infrequently occurs on the podcast) is the 2023 Genesis GV60 and its oh so tempting BOOST button. Benjamin shares his thoughts on the Korean luxury EV, and why he hasn't gotten his E-GMP badge yet. To show that times are really changing, Benjamin even warms up to some of the biometric features found in the Genesis - a discussion you won't want to miss.
Then Sami jumps into action to talk about the recently updated 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid. As large sedans lose their fun factor, Sami seems convinced that the Accord is managing the transition to comfy, family vehicle, with impressive fuel efficiency. At just over $30k this Honda should work for a lot of people, but time will tell if it maintains its popularity in this Crossover-crazy world.
Speaking of crazy, if you were worried about something, would being forced to go into an escape room help? Don't miss our wacky news analysis coming straight from VW's recently concerned employees. Listen, rate, subscribe and do all that fun stuff!

<description>Off-roading or on-roading, the Unnamed Automotive Podcast is here to help you get through your week. First up this week, Sami talks about the 2023 Honda Passport Trailsport, a somewhat MORE off-road oriented version of an SUV Honda proclaimed was already capable off-road. The Trailsport gets rugged-style tires, fun badging, and skid-plates, as well as a higher price point, but is that enough to make it recommendable over other, more off-road oriented SUVs? Plus how many times in a segment can Sami say sport? You be the judge!
Then Benjamin brings up the 2023 Subaru Legacy XT, also known as the sedan counterpart of the popular and instantly recognizable Subaru Outback. Benjamin's time in the Legacy brought out many existential questions like 'is this car good?' 'why does this car matter?' and 'who is buying this car?' which could only be worked through on this week's episode of the podcast. Be sure to listen and chime in later.
Finally, the guys talk about armored and bullet-proof vehicles, , what's involved in building them, and who needs such a service. Be sure to listen, review, subscribe and reach out to us on social media or our website.

<description>We hope you have a surgeon on speed-dial because this weeks episode of the Unnamed Automotive Podcast is entirely DEEP CUTS! Especially if you're familiar with the concept of GROWING UP! It's fun times in minivans here starting with Benjamin's review of the 2023 Toyota Sienna, with its funky design, hybrid powertrain and approachable pricing. In-between jokes about old vans and weird names, Benjamin explains that his time in the Toyota wasn't without incident, so be sure to listen to his whole experience to get the entire picture.
Then Sami gets his fun captured by the CabinWatch camera found in the 2023 Honda Odyssey, which has lost its killer suction-related app but gained a few other weird gimmicks. With 280 VTEC ponies on tap, this minivan is a screamer, or at least its passengers were certainly making some noise! Hear how practical this minivan is and why minivans aren't getting so much love these days.

In-between jokes about old vans and weird names, Benjamin explains that his time in the Toyota wasn&#39;t without incident, so be sure to listen to his whole experience to get the entire picture. </p>

<p>Then Sami gets his fun captured by the CabinWatch camera found in the 2023 Honda Odyssey, which has lost its killer suction-related app but gained a few other weird gimmicks. With 280 VTEC ponies on tap, this minivan is a screamer, or at least its passengers were certainly making some noise! Hear how practical this minivan is and why minivans aren&#39;t getting so much love these days. </p>

<itunes:subtitle>This week the guys have a pair of off-road-oriented SUVs to gush about. First up is Sami, who drove the all-new 2023 Honda Pilot, which has a brand new engine (with the same displacement and roughly the same power) and a tough new TrailSport trim. Is its changes enough for it to be mentioned among the best in the segment? Then Benjamin takes some time to talk about the 2023 Range Rover Sport P400 SE he's been driving, which has been thoroughly updated to steal some pie from its German rivals.</itunes:subtitle>

<description>This week, the guys are talking off-road-oriented SUVs, with significant redesigns.
Right off the bat, Sami starts the episode by describing the all-new, totally different, completely redesigned 2023 Honda Pilot, much to Benjamin's skepticism. Sami jumps into the three-row crossover and its off-road TrailSport trim, and tells you all the ways Honda has made this family friendly vehicle more competitive and exciting. Plus they talk about Christian Slater a bit, and Benjamin admits Sami was right about one piece of obscure car history.
Then Benjamin chimes in to explain his time in the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport P400 SE. All new for this year, the Range Rover Sport has a lot of ground to make up in this cutthroat segment, and Benjamin has a lot of thoughts about how the European brand manages. While referencing the Defender he drove recently, Benjamin even forgets all about other pure-SUV brands like Jeep, so now we can point and laugh at him (but in a friendly way!)
If you loved, or even liked this weeks episode, why not subscribe, or even review it? The guys love hearing from listeners so be sure to chime in on social media or on the Unnamed Automotive Podcast website.

<description>If you want to spend your Christmas talking cars, your two favorite podcasts hosts are here for you. First Sami discusses his time in the 2023 Genesis Electrified G80, an all-electric version of the executive sedan that put the Korean luxury brand on the map. Hear Sami describe what compromises were made in this conversion, and whether the EV is a better buy over its gas-powered variant.
Then Benjamin chimes in with his experience of the 2023 Honda CR-V, a car that's been thoroughly redesigned and updated, but doesn't look or feel like it has. Benjamin compares the CR-V experience to a variety of drinkable, seemingly innocuous liquids, in order to make a point that Sami struggles to make work in an audio format.
The guys then talk about their favorite rides this year. Don't forget to subscribe, review and tip our hosts on Ko-Fi, we can't wait to go for another 300 episodes!

<itunes:subtitle>This week Sami and Benjamin are finally free to talk about two super-hyped cars. First they take the muzzle off Sami so he can discuss the 2023 Honda Civic Type R, which has been refined and upgraded for this generation. Sporting 316 hp and a less juvenile design, it seems like the new hot hatch is surpassing its predecessor, but does that mean its worth the money? Then Benjamin drops some knowledge based on his drive in the new 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4Matic, an all-electric flagship sedan with 350 miles of range along with every gadget, gimmick and feature known to man.

<description>It's hatchback mania at the Unnamed Automotive Podcast—but these practical five-doors are more than a bit unusual. First Sami talks about the 2023 Honda Civic Type R, which has gotten a fairly substantial overhaul this year. Thanks to raised expectations from the more premium base Civic, the Type R feels more mature, yet Sami says this hasn't impacted the rowdiness of the hot hatch. After a few prodding and overly-personal questions, Benjamin and Sami decide whether the new Civic Type R is worth the $44k price tag it commands.
Then Benjamin chimes in about his experience in the all-electric 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4Matic, which features a roof-hinged rear cargo area, making it a hatchback, or sportback, or notchback, or something other than a sedan. With 350 miles of range, and plenty of power, this green flagshipalso happens to look almost completely anonymous. Still, it features a ride worthy of the 'S' letter, and Benjamin goes on to note several highlights and lowlights about the many features and gadgets in this six-figure ride.

<description>Sami and Benjamin have returned from their vacations with plenty of stories to tell. First the two catch up with all the cool cars and sights during their travels, with Ben reflecting on a certain era of vehicle that stands out in his mind after an unusual old school Honda Pilot encounter.
Then the pair dive into a conversation about the new 2022 Kia EV6, an all-electric car that's mechanically similar to the Hyundai IONIQ 5, but with different styling and, somehow, more range. Benjamin describes his experience in vivid detail and explains why the EV6 nets 20 more miles on the EPA test cycle, along with the car's fatal flaw. You'll definitely want to hear whether or not you should pick one up over the similar IONIQ.
Then the two talk about some news that's been burning through automotive circles. Cadillac has been caught trying to get buyers of its new Lyriq EV to sign an NDA, which caught the attention of NHTSA, which relies on owner information and reports to determine safety concerns. Then the guys talk about the weird new Toyota Crown, which sports a body style that defies convenvention, along with why you would ever design a car that offered FWD, RWD, and AWD in the same package.
All that and more inside jokes and pure car talk can be found in this week's episode, so be sure to listen! Also consider sending us a review, or some feedback, since we love to hear from our listeners!

<p>All that and more inside jokes and pure car talk can be found in this week&#39;s episode, so be sure to listen! Also consider sending us a review, or some feedback, since we love to hear from our listeners!</p><p>Links:</p><ul><li><a title="Review: The 2022 Kia EV6 Electric SUV Aims Straight At The Gas Free Family" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.drivingline.com/articles/review-the-2022-kia-ev6-electric-suv-aims-straight-at-the-gas-free-family/">Review: The 2022 Kia EV6 Electric SUV Aims Straight At The Gas Free Family</a> &mdash; There's something to be said for the future looking like the present.</li><li><a title="Like what you hear? <description>They shook the magic eight ball and it came up "trucks." Sami and Benjamin dive into some rugged, practical machines this week, with Mr.Hunting starting with a closer look at the 2022 Honda Ridgeline. Now facing stiff competition from new trucklets like the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz, how can the Ridgeline stay appealing to shoppers? Benjamin points out a few of the flaws in Honda's approach, and the two brainstorm what is needed from the Japanese automaker to keep its name in peoples mouths.
Then Sami jumps into the 2022 Kia Telluride, a former darling of the automotive media. The Kia had also seen new rivals in the form of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee L and the Nissan Pathfinder. Can it still keep up? Should shoppers wait for the newly announced 2023 model? Sami jumps into each of those questions with reckless abandon and little time to think, so be ready for off-the-cuff answers.
Finally the two talk automotive news and Apples automotive dashboard design that's a part of iOS16, before Benjamin shares an update on his Datsun. Hear it all right here and be sure to subscribe to hear all the latest episodes throughout the summer.

<itunes:subtitle>Benjamin discusses the 2022 Hyundai Kona N Line, a halfway point for the Kona to the full bore N model. Hear his take on how it fares as a tweener before Sami brings up his experience with a pair of manual-equipped hatchbacks: the 2022 Honda Civic and 2022 Kia Forte5 GT. How much longer do these hatchbacks have on a crossover crazed market? Finally, it's time for high-performance driving discussion and how these skills can apply to driving in inclement weather</itunes:subtitle>

<description>Benjamin discusses his go around in the 2022 Hyundai Kona N-Line, a crossover that strives to be the median point beween the standard Kona and the speedy Kona N. Hyundai is trying to follow the path of the German M Sports and AMG Lines, but is the Kona N-Line a successful push in the right direction? Is this just a style and attitude package, a weak echo of the Pontiac Trans Am Firehawk?
Sami then chimes in with his recent experience in two compact hatchbacks. A dying breed, the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback and the Canada-only 2022 Kia Forte5 GT are both available with manual transmissions. Sami seems to think the hatchback styling of these cars stray too close to the sedan variants, and that cars like these are slowly losing their relevance to crossovers.
Finally, the duo discuss high-performanc driving techniques and how they apply to driving in the snow.
Listen now to get the whole scoop, and don't forget to subscribe and review.

<description>The Nissan Rogue has always done big business, but much of that was based on price and incentives. Sami's drive of the 2021 redesign reveals that Nissan's new investment in the Rogue elevates it to a new level among other compact SUVs and gives you reasons to buy it other than simply getting a great deal.
Benjamin spends a week with the 2020 Honda Civic Si Coupe, a sporty compact that's among the last of its breed - and a car that is discontinued at the end of this year. How does the Si stack up against the dwindling crop of two-door offerings at the $25,000 mark?

Sami puts it on a road course alongside the 2021 BMW 440i and the enormous 2021 Alpina XB7 SUV to figure out which of BMW's latest performers is the most fun to drive fast. Benjamin heads in the other direction with the 2020 Honda Clarity plug-in hybrid, which is perhaps the biggest surprise of the year for him. The pair wrap things up with listener questions, including clearing up a few more fake movie cars and digging in to the Fiat 500 Abarth.

<description>Why pay more for the 2020 Honda Passport when the Pilot is cheaper, bigger, and offers an extra row of seating? Sami has the answer to this perplexing question after spending a week behind the wheel of Honda's latest SUV. Benjamin extolls the virtues of the massive cargo space in the 2020 Toyota Sienna NIGHTSHADE edition he just drove, while simultaneously lamenting some surprising equipment oversights in this somewhat expensive minivan.
The pair wrap things up by running through the five greatest driving video games from the 1980s, expressing their consternation over Toyota's sudden power bump for the 2021 Supra, and then answering a listener question about the Mini Cooper S transmission.

<description>Is the 2019 Genesis G70 the real sports sedan deal not just on the track, but in the day-to-day? <description>The 2019 BMW 3 Series has been completely redesigned in a bid to capture past driving glory. Benjamin spends a week behind the wheel of the 330i xDrive to discover what's good and what's still so-so about the German automaker's sales leader. Sami pits another all-new sedan - the 2019 Nissan Altima AWD - against a perennial favorite in the 2019 Honda Accord 1.5T and isn't nearly as impressed. The pair wrap things up with an update on Benjamin's Jeep Grand Wagoneer project, and what happens when you turn to the internet underground to try to by some tapes for your truck, man.

<itunes:subtitle>Benjamin spends a week with the 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata and is surprised by how little fun the turbo adds to the MX-5 formula. Sami's experience with the revised 2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van reminds Benjamin of his adventure-filled mid-winter trip through Alaska to the Arctic Circle in a Sprinter, and the pair then debate the finer points of whether it's OK that the 2018 Honda Pilot is really just a fancier minivan. Finally, the two are dumbfounded by Volvo's attempt to teach us all a new language of flashing colors and swelling sounds to communicate with autonomous cars you can also sleep in, and Sami tries to stump Benjamin with a BMW lightning round.</itunes:subtitle>

<description>Did adding a turbo to the Miata teach Mazda an important lesson about not messing with the MX-5 formula? After a week behind the wheel of a 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata from Mazdas' classic collection, Benjamin certainly seems to think so. Sami, on the other hand, can't get enough of Benjamin's weird winter tales of driving the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van to the Alaskan Arctic Circle after he himself samples the new model in warmer climes. Before wrapping things up, Sami posits that the 2018 Honda Pilot is really just a fancier minivan - and is totally ok with that - and then the pair riff through Volvo's new 'languge' designed to help its autonomous bed-office-living-room cars communicate with mere human beings, as well as a BMW lightning round featuring the longest SUV name in automotive history.

<description>The 2018 Honda Fit Sport proves that no one should be buying SUVs if what they really care about is practicality - at least, that's what Benjamin has to say on this week's episode after spending serious time with the subcompact hatchback. Plus: bonus trash talk about the leaked Toyota Supra specs, and a serial killer story from Korea with an expected link to the Kia Niro.

<description>Sami spends a week with the 2018 Subaru Forester XT and is impressed by what the turbocharged SUV has to offer in terms of fun behind the wheel, while Benjamin dishes on the redesigned 2018 Honda Accord and whether its entry-level engine is worthy of the same praise as its range-topping sibling. The pair then delve into a retrospective look at all the cars and trucks they drove in 2017 - the good, the bad, the underwhelming, the puzzling, and the disappointing - and share their mutual despair for the soul-sucking maelstrom that is CES. Ending the year with a bang is Sami's very first, and very special, supercut.

<description>The Lexus LC 500 is one of the best-looking and best-sounding luxury coupes on the market, but how does it hold up on the cold streets of Montreal? And who, exactly, would choose its 500h hybrid showroom-mate over the standard 500's V8 thunder? Benjamin drives them back-to-back to answer that question. Sami, on the other hand, spends a week driving not one, but four compact SUVs: the Volkswagen Tiguan, the Honda CR-V, the Nissan Rogue, and the Chevrolet Equinox, to see which one comes out on top. Wrapping things up, the pair discuss the Toyota Prius Prime plug-in hybrid, and specifically, how to devise a system that lets everyone around you know just how efficient you're driving. Spoiler alert: it involves the birth of a brand-new lifeform.

<description>The Kia Stinger GT has been aimed squarely at BMW, Audi, and Lexus luxury cars, but does this grand tourer have the performance and poise required to get a seat at that table? Benjamin spends a day with the Stinger GT in L.A. to answer that question. Meanwhile, Sami tests the Honda Fit head-to-head against the Kia Rio hatchback to determine where the best blend of value, practicality, and fun can be found in this hotly-contested, and affordable, segment. Finally, Benjamin feels cynical about the recent Tesla Roadster unveiling, while Sami tries to balance that out with good vibes and the benefit of the doubt about Elon's latest foray into boosting the company's stock price.
